Did you just start a new Witcher 3 playthrough on Remastered? You're not alone—and the modding community is already out in full force. In just two days since the PC release on September 29, over 450 mods have been updated or newly released on Nexus Mods. That's a massive wave of support for a game that's nearly a decade old.
If you were thinking of casually browsing the mod page, good luck. It's a hive of activity right now. Some of the updates are from long-time staples dating back to the 2010s, now made compatible with the latest patch. Others are brand new, like De-mastered Geralt from modder GrimReaper2121—a name you can trust to deliver the goods.
Among the notable mods that have been updated: The Witcher 3 Mod Manager, Fast Travel From Anywhere, Boat Races, No time for Gwent, Complete Animations Redux, Sort Everything, AutoLoot, Advanced Settings, HUD Scaling Fix (All Aspect Ratios), Enhanced Camera, The Stable - Roach-Horse Customization Mod, Increased Creature Loot, More Money For Traders, Hoods, New Clouds, Jump in Shallow Water, and a mod that disables storybook intro warnings videos.
That last one is a perfect example of pure modder artistry—it uses a classic MS Paint thumbnail instead of the weird, AI-generated images that have started popping up on some mod pages. Seriously, why create a fake, AI-glazed screenshot for your HUD mod when we all know what The Witcher 3 actually looks like? It's baffling. Give us more MS Paint masterpieces, please.
Also, we should all spend more time jumping in shallow water, preferably with our besties. That's the good stuff. Whether you're looking to tweak your HUD, fast-travel anywhere, or just customize Roach, there's likely a mod for you. The community's quick turnaround shows just how much love there still is for this game.
So, will you be diving back into the Continent with some fresh mods? Or are you waiting for The Witcher 4? Let us know in the comments!
