Did you already speed through 007 First Light and start itching for a reason to dive back in? Good news — IO Interactive just gave you one, and it won't cost a penny.
The studio has launched Extended Operations, a free DLC for 007 First Light that lands today. It's the kind of post-launch drop that rewards the players who stuck around, and it brings a handful of features fans have been asking about since launch.
Headlining the package is New Game+, the classic replay hook that lets you carry your hard-earned progress into a fresh run. If you've been hoarding gadgets and skills, this is your excuse to go back to the beginning with a fully loaded Bond.
Also in the mix is 00 difficulty, a tougher challenge tier for anyone who found the base game a little too forgiving. Think of it as the proper spy-thriller test — the kind of mode that makes you plan every move instead of blasting through.
On top of that, there's new TacSim content to dig into. TacSim has been one of the standout side activities in 007 First Light, and fresh scenarios mean more reasons to sharpen your skills between story missions.
And for the screenshot crowd, Photo Mode finally arrives. You'll be able to pause the action, frame up your best Bond moments and share them with the community — because let's be honest, half the fun of a good-looking game is showing it off.
It's a solid free update: New Game+, 00 difficulty, more TacSim and Photo Mode, all bundled into one drop. IO Interactive clearly isn't done with 007 First Light yet, and giving this away for free is a nice signal to the player base.
So, will you be jumping back into 007 First Light for Extended Operations? And which addition are you most excited to try first — New Game+, 00 difficulty or Photo Mode? Let us know in the comments.
