Remember the days of stuffing CJ with Cluckin' Bell in San Andreas, only to watch him waddle around with a belly? Well, get ready to do it all over again in GTA 6—but this time, it's even more immersive.
Rockstar Games recently sat down with Dazed magazine for their Autumn 2026 issue, and they spilled some fascinating details about what's coming when the game hits PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19. While they chatted about the more believable characters and the switching mechanic between Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, they also hinted at something that'll hit close to home for longtime fans.
If you've been craving that level of customization from San Andreas, you're in luck. GTA 6 is bringing back those "interactive systems" that affect how your characters look. Eat too many burgers? Jason and Lucia will pack on the pounds. Hit the gym? They'll bulk up with muscle. Skip sleep? Well, let's just say those under-eye masks won't cut it. Basically, every choice you make in Leonida will show up on your characters' bodies, making them feel more alive than ever.
This is a direct throwback to San Andreas, where CJ's physique mattered. If you didn't keep him fit and fed him too much junk, he'd get fat, lose stamina, hold guns differently, and even lock you out of certain missions. In GTA 6, it sounds like your characters' health and well-being will affect how they carry themselves, though it's unclear if being overweight or tired will block missions like it did for CJ. But we won't have to wait too long to find out—November 19 is just around the corner.
Of course, with the game being so close, there are leaks floating around everywhere. If you're trying to stay spoiler-free, you might want to tread carefully on social media. But hey, if you're like me, you're already planning your character's diet and workout regimen. Will you be picking this up on day one? And more importantly, will you be keeping Jason and Lucia in top shape, or letting them live their best (and fluffiest) lives? Let us know in the comments!
