Ever been caught in a Flash Freeze in Arc Raiders' Pendola Pass and just run for the nearest building? You might be missing out on some of the best loot in the game. I'm talking about Storm Huts—they're packed with goodies, but only open when the weather turns deadly.
Pendola Pass has a special weather condition called Flash Freeze. When it hits, a snow storm rolls in, you start taking damage after a while, and loudspeakers blast an emergency broadcast warning that the temperature outside is lethal and shelters are opening up. That's your cue to go hunting.
Storm Huts don't appear on your map until the Flash Freeze occurs. Even if you stumble upon one beforehand, the door is sealed tight. But once the cold hits, they pop up as icons and become accessible. And trust me, you want to get inside.
These aren't just safe havens—they're little loot rooms. I've found some of the more obscure outpost crafting materials inside, like the Epoxy Bucket, Insulation Roll, and Radial Press. I even snagged a Mountaineer Detector, a snow-themed metal detector similar to the Riven Tides one, which I haven't seen anywhere else.
Besides those rare finds, Storm Huts usually contain other crafting bits, useful raider items like extra healing and ammo, and a couple of gun cases that often hold a rare or uncommon weapon. So while everyone else is huddled in a random building, you could be raking in the goods.
The only catch is that these huts only show up during a Flash Freeze, even though they're always there. So next time you're in sub-zero temperatures, don't just wait it out—rush to the nearest Storm Hut and turn bad weather into a loot bonanza.
