Can you believe it's almost been a year since the Black Myth: Wukong retail store opened its doors? Time flies when you're busy admiring ridiculously detailed statues.
The store recently wrapped up a fresh round of renovations, refreshing its decor and layout. This time around, the whole space got a glow-up themed after the game's second chapter, "Wind Rising, Dusk Falling" — and yes, that means a bunch of brand-new themed exhibits moved in.
Among the new additions? None other than the Yellow Wind Sage, a character fans of that chapter know all too well. If you thought the in-game model was impressive, wait until you see this thing up close.
To make sure everything looked just right, the production team spent months refining the pieces. We're not talking a quick coat of paint here — they went over everything from the overall silhouette down to the tiniest surface textures, sculpting and polishing until every bit of grain and every single strand of hair looked as lifelike as possible.
The studio recently shared a behind-the-scenes featurette showing off some of these decorations, giving fans a peek at just how much sweat went into the craftsmanship. And honestly? It shows. The level of detail on display is the kind of thing that makes you want to lean in and squint at it for way too long.
It's a nice reminder that the folks behind Black Myth: Wukong don't really do things halfway — whether it's a boss fight or a decorative statue sitting in a retail space.
