Blood of Dawnwalker Bug: Player Fights Same Boss 13 Times

A Blood of Dawnwalker player keeps crashing after a boss fight and refuses to wait for a fix, battling Bakir 13 times in a row. Here's what's happening.

Blood of Dawnwalker Bug: Player Fights Same Boss 13 Times

Ever been so stubborn you'd rather fight the same boss 13 times than admit a game is bugged? That's exactly where one The Blood of Dawnwalker player finds themselves, and honestly, you might relate.

The boss in question is Bakir, a crazed Genghis Khan wannabe who summons blood-birds and pummels you with unblockable roundhouse kicks. The player has memorized his attack pattern so well they dream about it. They've beaten him 12 times in a row, but every single victory ends in a crash right after the fight. No autosaves means they have to start the whole battle over again. Ouch.

A quick Google search reveals the truth: Bakir's fight is notoriously buggy on PC and Xbox Series S. Many players report frequent crashes, especially during the cutscene transition after the Lunar Games boss fight, where critical shader loading failures happen. But instead of waiting for a hotfix like a normal person, this player takes it personally. They vow to keep throwing themselves at the wall until they succeed or become a red splatter.

The fight itself is a test of timing. Bakir teleports, pounds the ground sending out rippling waves, and whistles to summon a flock of blood-birds that dive one by one. You have to dodge left, right, and back, then shadowstep behind him and hammer the attack button. The player has a fully-upgraded Blood Surge that chunks his health bar. The nastiest move comes after you break two of his three health segments: he teleports toward you and does a devastating AOE ground pound that stuns you, leaving you open for an instakill. Most players die there at least once.

Our stubborn hero makes it through near perfectly, even keeping extreme distance during Bakir's last health segment. They watch the cutscene, relief flooding in, and choose to bite Bakir. But victory is short-lived. No sooner do they drink from the boyar than the cutscene attempts to transition—and the game crashes. Again.

So here's your sign: some games are just bugged. You can either wait for the devs to drop a hotfix, or you can be like this player and keep fighting until the universe bends to your will. We all know how that usually goes.

What's the most stubborn you've ever been with a buggy game? Will you be picking up The Blood of Dawnwalker despite the crashes? Let us know in the comments!
