Pearl Abyss has announced a two-week delay for the expansion, pushing it from its original October 15, 2026 release date. The good news? It's only a fortnight, and the devs promise it'll be worth it.

The studio shared the news on Twitter, saying, "We are hard at work on Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown to bring you new adventures to Pywel." They explained that they need "additional development time to deliver a more polished and stable gameplay experience." They also apologized for the longer wait, adding, "We know many of you have been looking forward to returning to the game and we sincerely apologize for the longer wait." Pearl Abyss promised to "use the additional time to further refine the content and do our utmost to deliver the best experience we can."

So, why the delay? It sounds like the team just wants to make sure everything is rock solid when you jump back into Pywel. The original date was already pretty ambitious, especially since the DLC was only announced at the PlayStation State of Play less than a month before its planned launch. But hey, a smoother experience is always welcome.

The new date moves the DLC out of a jam-packed week that included Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, Valor Mortis, the Switch 2 versions of the Resident Evil Remake trilogy, and Bluey's Happy Snaps.
