GTA 6 on Switch 2? Two New Leaks Fuel the Rumors

A job listing at Red Dead Redemption's Switch 2 port studio and a veteran leaker's claims have reignited talk that GTA 6 could land on Nintendo's new console — but nothing is official yet.

GTA 6 on Switch 2? Two New Leaks Fuel the Rumors

The closer we get to GTA 6's launch, the louder the Switch 2 chatter gets. Two separate threads have popped up online, and together they've got plenty of you daring to hope again.

First up, overseas blogger Hugo Gaming spotted something interesting: Double Eleven, the outsourcing studio behind the Switch 2 port of Red Dead Redemption, recently posted a job opening for a low-level graphics engineer. The listing calls for someone fluent in next-gen graphics pipelines, GPU performance optimization, and ray tracing architecture — and says experience with Switch 2 development is a plus. Hugo's theory? The team might be deep-tuning Rockstar's own RAGE engine for Switch 2 hardware, laying the groundwork for a GTA 6 port.

Then veteran leaker Nash Weedle chimed in with a key detail. He said the fresh rumors line up with what he himself reported back in June about a Switch 2 version of GTA 6 — but he stressed that his info and the Double Eleven job listing come from two completely independent channels, not the same source. He also teased that more details will drop in his November show.

Worth keeping in mind: all of this is still firmly in rumor territory. Neither Rockstar nor Nintendo has made any official announcement. And given GTA 6's massive map scale and visual standards, getting it to run smoothly on Switch 2 hardware would be a serious performance challenge for any port team.

So yeah — take it all with a grain of salt. These are insider claims, not confirmed facts, and it's always smart to keep expectations in check until we hear something official.
