Arc Raiders: How to Get Planks and Sheet Metal Fast

Stuck trying to find planks and sheet metal in Arc Raiders? You're not alone. These new items are essential for the Sheltered Retreat project, but they can be tricky to track down if you don't know where to look.

First things first: you'll need to snap a picture of the Ruined Homestead before you can start committing resources to the project. Once that's done, you'll need planks and sheet metal. The good news is there are a few ways to get them.

The easiest method? Buy them from Celeste. She sells both planks and sheet metal for three seeds each. If you need 24 seeds' worth, that's a quick and painless way to finish the project without scavenging.

But if you'd rather save your seeds, you can find them in the world. Planks are common in residential and old world areas. Your best bet is the houses in Old Town, in the southwest of Pendola Pass. While you're there, keep an eye out for research items and furniture blueprints too.

Sheet metal, on the other hand, loves technological and industrial areas. Head to the Assembly and Loading Bay in Stella Montis. Every yellow drawer container in the Assembly area seems to be a guaranteed drop for sheet metal, so make sure you loot them all.

You can also find both items in other areas, but they'll be less frequent. Since the project doesn't require a huge amount, you might just want to spend the 24 seeds and buy everything from Celeste. It'll save you time and hassle.

So, will you be farming for planks and sheet metal or just buying them from Celeste? Let us know in the comments!
