Ever feel like you backed the wrong horse when you pre-ordered that $400 Collector's Box? Well, some GTA 6 influencers just got a mysterious package from Rockstar Games, and it's causing quite a stir.
Content creator TmarTn showed off his haul on YouTube, and it's packed with goodies: a blue baseball cap with a pink Rockstar logo, a t-shirt with the same 'welcome to Vice City' design found inside the Collector's Box, stickers, a blue and pink tote bag with the GTA 6 logo, and a Zippo lighter engraved with Rockstar and Vice City logos. Not bad for a surprise delivery, right?
Meanwhile, the Collector's Box that fans can buy for $400 includes a bright pink cartoon alligator statue, among other items. While the influencer merch shares a similar vibe, many fans are saying they'd rather have the free stuff. On Twitter, one wrote, 'Better than the good times collection box they're selling us for €400.' Another added, 'I WANT THAT MERCH, NOT THE SHIT WE GET IN THE COLLECTION BOX.' Ouch.
Of course, it's possible Rockstar might sell this influencer merch separately later, especially since the demand is clearly there. If that wasn't the plan, this backlash might just change their minds.
In other GTA 6 news, the game's weather system is completely re-engineered from Red Dead Redemption 2, featuring hurricanes, rainbows, proper cloud formations, and more. So at least we have that to look forward to while we debate the merits of a $400 box.
