Solar Flare is the premier Solar-and-Inferno reroll comp in TFT Set 18. Curated by Challenger players on Patch 18.1, this Level 5 Slow Roll build rolls for three-star one-cost champions, with Ornn, Kayle, Varus and Akali as the main carries. The plan is to bank gold, slow roll at level 5, and cash out Ornn's Artifact Anvil along the way. Here is the complete breakdown, based on the latest curated guide data.

The finished board is: Akali, Camille, Ornn, Varus, Amumu, Kayle, Sejuani and Leona. The comp is built on Solar 3 and Inferno 3 supported by a set of two-cost pairs, and the guide notes you want five three-star units to power up Solar.

The route is unusually greedy: level 3 at 2-1 with 10 or more gold and do NOT buy XP, level 4 at 2-3 with 20 or more, then hit level 5 at 3-2 with 50 or more gold and slow roll for your carries. After that you push levels again: level 6 at 3-7 with 50 or more, level 7 at 4-5 with 50 or more, level 8 at 5-2 with 30 or more, and level 9 at 6-2 with 20 or more.

In the early game, play your main units with Akali, Ornn, Leona and Varus, and do not level. Buy Wisps that can offer you resources, and look to get Ornn itemized early so you can start aiming for the Artifact Anvil. In the mid game, either slow roll once you reach 50 gold or roll aggressively on 3-1, since that is your final round with improved one-cost odds. Once your upgrades are in, push levels for the final board.

Camille runs Sterak's Gage, Quicksilver and Infinity Edge. Akali, your AP carry, holds Jeweled Gauntlet, Edge of Night and Hand of Justice. Varus runs Infinity Edge, Spear of Shojin and Last Whisper, and Ornn anchors the frontline with Warmog's Armor, Gargoyle Stoneplate and Steadfast Heart.

The guide's "when to make" criteria are: having a reroll augment and hitting your main units naturally.

Seven details make this comp work. First, after cashing out an Artifact Anvil from Ornn, use it well. Second, look for the Field of Mice Wisp, which gives you Tiny Duplicators when you are playing five one-cost units. Third, Akali's best Artifacts are Lich Bane and Seeker's Armguard. Fourth, check the Alternative Items tab for an AD Akali build. Fifth, this comp has built-in anti-heal through the Inferno trait, so you do not need to itemize for it. Sixth, Kayle shreds armor naturally, so you do not need to build Ionic Spark or Void Staff. Seventh, leftover tank items can go onto Leona. Slow roll to your three-stars at level 5 and let the Solar bursts finish fights.
