WoW: Forever Brings Back the Ring of Blood in New Riverglades Zone

Remember the thrill of fighting your way through the Ring of Blood in Nagrand? Well, get ready to do it all over again in World of Warcraft: Forever. Blizzard just dropped a new video called 'Your Leveling Journey Past 30,' and it's packed with details about the new Riverglades zone, including a familiar-sounding challenge.

The Riverglades zone is deeply rooted in Warcraft 2 lore, and it's a contested area split between multiple factions. The Brotherhood of the Horse represents the Alliance, while the Boulder Rock ogre clan holds it down for the Horde. Deep in Boulder Rock territory, you'll find the Bloodmasters Ring, which Blizzard describes as 'a fighting ring where players will prove their strength against the ogres' best brawlers.' If that sounds like the Ring of Blood from The Burning Crusade, you're spot on. That iconic quest chain had players teaming up to battle boss after boss in Nagrand, eventually becoming champion and earning some sweet rewards.

Blizzard has kept this tradition alive in nearly every expansion since. We saw the Amphitheater of Anguish in Wrath of the Lich King, the Crucible of Carnage in Cataclysm, and even a return of the Ring of Blood itself during Warlords of Draenor. So it's no surprise that WoW: Forever is continuing the trend. What rewards await in the Bloodmasters Ring? Blizzard isn't saying yet, but given WoW Classic's history of powerful quest rewards, it's safe to expect something worthwhile. And who knows—maybe the original ringmasters, Gurgthock and Wodin, will show up again.

But that's not all. Blizzard also shared new details about endgame raids in WoW: Forever. Just like in WoW Classic, you'll need to attune yourself for Onyxia's Lair and grab the Drakefire Amulet. Oh, and you might want to bring some fire resistance gear—trust us on that one. At launch, there are two new raids: the eight-boss Barrow Deeps, which has multiple entrances across zones like Mount Hyjal, Winterspring, and Blackmaw Hold, and the massive Hyjal Summit raid with a whopping 13 bosses to defeat.

With launch just a few weeks away on November 4, Blizzard is still making big changes. Recently, they overhauled racial abilities, which could shake up what race you pick. And in an interview with GameSpot, they hinted at what the future holds for WoW: Forever's endgame. It's clear the team is listening and tweaking things right up to the wire.

So, are you ready to step into the Bloodmasters Ring and prove your worth against the ogres? What rewards do you hope to see? Let us know in the comments!
