Ready to shred some fresh concrete in Skate? If the next season doesn't slip a couple of weeks, the early access skateboarding playground hits its mid-season point on Tuesday, October 13th — and that means a new patch is rolling in with stuff to try.
So what's actually in this drop? For starters, the update opens up some new skate parks for you to explore. New spots mean new lines, new gaps, and plenty of reasons to ditch your usual routine and go hunting for fresh terrain.
That's not all, though. The patch also adds more missions, giving you extra objectives to chase down while you're out skating. If you've been burning through the current content, this should give you a reason to jump back in.
And then there's the experimental bit: proximity voice chat is getting a test. That means players near each other in-game could end up talking directly — a feature that could make sessions with friends (or random skaters you bump into) feel a lot more alive.
It's worth keeping in mind this is all tied to the mid-season timing, and it comes with a small caveat: the whole thing assumes the next season of Skate doesn't get pushed back by a couple of weeks. If that happens, the schedule could shift.
Still, as far as mid-season patches go, this one's shaping up to be a solid reason to hop back on the board. New parks, more missions, and a voice chat test? That's a pretty full plate for a single update.
What do you think — are you most hyped for the new parks, the extra missions, or testing out proximity voice chat? Let us know!
