During the September PlayStation State of Play, Bandai Namco dropped a fresh trailer for Gundam Rogue Orbit, and it's shaking up the franchise's usual formula. Typically, a new Gundam debuts as an anime series first, then spawns a line of model kits. But this time, the game is leading the charge. And for fans worried about missing out on the traditional Gundam experience, fear not—the collector's edition has your back.
Priced at $160, the Gundam Rogue Orbit Collector's Edition is a treasure trove for fans. It packs a physical copy of the game, a poster, reversible cover art, a pack of five promo cards, and a steel case to protect your disc. But the real showstopper is the included High-Grade (HG) model kit of the new Gundam Helix mobile suit. This kit is exclusive to the collector's edition, making it a rare gem in the Gunpla world where Bandai Namco usually keeps shelves stocked.
If you're new to Gunpla, HG kits are 1/144-scale models that strike a perfect balance between detail and accessibility. They're designed for casual builders, with moderate part counts, minimal foil stickers, and a durable build that doesn't require a ton of tools.
