What If Insomniac Made GTA 6? This Parody Video Shows the Chaos

Ever wondered what GTA 6 would look like if Insomniac Games were behind it? A new parody video answers that question, and the result is equal parts hilarious and slightly terrifying.

Game blogger NikTek dropped a roughly one-minute "alternative gameplay" clip that re-edits the official GTA 6 footage and injects it with mechanics straight out of Marvel's Wolverine. The video's premise is simple: what if the two games swapped design philosophies?

In the parody, the sleek, cinematic GTA 6 scenes suddenly get plastered with massive, in-your-face UI prompts. Instead of letting you figure things out, the game bluntly tells you exactly where to go and what to interact with. Subtlety? Not here.

But that's not all. Some interactions get transformed into painfully slow QTEs, where your character has to wait ages before completing a simple action. If you thought GTA's heists were tense, imagine them with the pacing of a dial-up modem.

The video also throws in a "scent tracking" effect reminiscent of Marvel's Wolverine. Special visual cues highlight a trail for you to follow along a set path to your target. It's a far cry from GTA 6's original emphasis on free exploration and player freedom.

These elements aren't random jabs, either. They reflect real design traits that Marvel's Wolverine has been criticized for. The game features plenty of obvious route and interaction guides, and some QTEs are slow enough that even if you mess up, you rarely face harsh penalties. It's a style that some players love and others find a bit too hand-holdy.

NikTek's video isn't actual GTA 6 gameplay, of course. It's a fan-made remix built from official footage, designed to show what happens when you smash two very different design styles together. The result is a funny, exaggerated look at how drastically a game's feel can change with just a few tweaks.
