Intergalactic Missing Again? September State of Play Skips Big PS5 Games

Did you tune into Sony's September 2026 State of Play hoping to finally catch a glimpse of Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet? If so, you weren't alone—but you were left disappointed. The showcase wrapped up without any sign of the highly anticipated sci-fi epic, and it wasn't the only first-party game to pull a no-show.

Sony's showcase had plenty of third-party reveals and updates, but for many fans, the absence of Intergalactic was the elephant in the room. This marks yet another major event where the game has been missing in action, fueling speculation about its development status. After all, Naughty Dog's last big release was The Last of Us Part II back in 2020, and players are hungry for something new.

But Intergalactic wasn't the only first-party title that failed to appear.
