SEGA's Stranger Than Heaven Collector's Edition Shames GTA 6

SEGA and RGG Studio just showed everyone how a collector's edition should be done. Today they revealed the full details for the Stranger Than Heaven Collector's Edition, and it's priced at $129.99 — and yes, it actually comes with the game.

The package includes a physical copy of the game for Xbox Series X|S or PS5, a 12-inch exclusive vinyl record featuring the main theme and original tracks, and an exclusive art SteelBook. It launches alongside the game on January 15, 2027.

That might not sound revolutionary, but in 2026 it kind of is. Compare that to GTA 6's collector's edition, which costs $400 and doesn't include the game. Yeah, you read that right. Fans certainly noticed.

The reaction online was almost instant. The comments section flooded with praise for SEGA, and nearly every message compared it to Rockstar's controversial offering. "This is what GTA 6 should have done," one player wrote. Another added, "This is genuinely the first collector's edition I've ever wanted to buy."
