Ever wished your webcam could match the quality of a DSLR without the hefty price tag? Razer just answered that with the Kiyo V2 Pro, a 4K60 webcam that's finally a true successor to the beloved Kiyo Pro Ultra.
The original Kiyo Pro Ultra launched in early 2023 and set the bar for webcam quality, but Razer has been quiet on the content creation front since. Now, the Kiyo V2 Pro arrives as the world's second 4K60 webcam, packing a Sony STARVIS 2 sensor (1/1.8 inches) and an f/1.9 aperture lens. That's a slightly smaller sensor than the Ultra's record-breaking size, but Razer promises reduced motion blur, ultra-high dynamic range, and a wide-angle lens with no edge distortion.
Design-wise, the V2 Pro sports a new horizontal body behind the familiar lens, and it's just as bulky as its predecessor. But that bulk houses serious hardware. You get AI-powered auto-framing (pan, tilt, and zoom, not generative AI), plus Synapse software controls for ISO, shutter speed, white balance, exposure, gain, motion clarity, and more. There's also one-click image enhancement and DSLR-style customization.
Pricing is a pleasant surprise: $299.99 / £299.99, same as the Kiyo Pro Ultra at launch. However, Amazon currently lists it at $349.99, so check Razer's own store first. Amazon also notes only 20 units left despite today's launch. The webcam includes an integrated privacy shutter and a universal mount plus standard L-shaped mount for monitors or tripods. No rubber lens cover this time, as Razer decided the privacy shutter suffices.
For content creators, this could be a game-changer. The Kiyo Pro Ultra has been a favorite for its low-light clarity, often mistaken for a DSLR.
