Activision, the developer known for Call of Duty, is now taking over creation of the next Halo game. The news has left the Halo community understandably divided.
On one side, you've got players who are optimistic. Activision knows how to churn out polished, blockbuster shooters year after year, so maybe that expertise will give Halo the shot in the arm it needs.
On the other side, plenty of fans are worried. Halo has always had its own identity—slower, more tactical, with a focus on story and arena combat. Activision's style is very different, and some fear the series could lose what makes it special.
It's a classic case of wait-and-see. The next Halo is still a mystery in terms of gameplay, release date, and pretty much everything else. But the mere fact that Activision is at the helm has sparked endless debates online.
