ARC Raiders and The Finals Are Heading to Film and TV

Ever finish a match in The Finals or extract from a raid in ARC Raiders and think, "Man, this would make a great movie?" You're not alone — and apparently, Hollywood agrees.

Nexon's Embark Studios has teamed up with Chernin Entertainment to bring both ARC Raiders and The Finals to film and television. That's right: two of the studio's biggest titles are getting the adaptation treatment, and it's all happening under one partnership.

The announcement confirmed that both games are being adapted, meaning fans could eventually watch the worlds they've been playing in unfold on the big screen and on TV. It's the classic "you've played the game, now watch the movie and TV show" moment — and for Embark, it's a major vote of confidence in the universes it's built.

If the name Chernin Entertainment sounds familiar, that's because the production company has a track record in the entertainment space. Teaming with Embark and Nexon puts both ARC Raiders and The Finals in experienced hands as they make the jump from interactive to scripted.

Details are still thin at this point. We don't yet know the format each game will take, who's writing or starring, or when any of this might land. For now, the headline is simple: the adaptations are officially in the works.

For players, this is the kind of news that sparks plenty of daydreaming. Who would you cast as your favorite ARC Raiders character? What would a The Finals episode even look like? Those are the fun questions that come with any game-to-screen project.

It's also another sign of how seriously the industry is treating gaming IP right now. Adaptations have gone from risky bets to serious business, and Embark's titles are the latest to get the call-up.

We'll be keeping an eye out for casting news, release windows, and everything else as this develops. What do you think — will you be watching when these hit screens?
