Diablo 4 Season 15: Secrets You Probably Missed

Have you been exploring every corner of Diablo 4 Season 15? If so, you've probably realized it's absolutely stuffed with secrets—some years in the making. Season 15, Hell's Legacy, launched two weeks ago, and players are still discovering new mysteries. It's a massive nostalgia trip, bringing back dungeons, bosses, and items from previous Diablo games. You even team up with Deckard Cain to battle echoes of the Prime Evils and steal their iconic powers.

But the references go way beyond a few dungeons and bosses. Blizzard has hidden a full Horadric Cube's worth of secrets, both from older games and continuations of long-running Diablo 4 mysteries. After years of searching, the secret cow level hunt finally has a conclusion—sort of. Players who reach the cow level and defeat the Cow King can now go one step further to face Moophisto, the Divine Bovine. And yes, you can also catch Mefishto, the secret fishing boss that Blizzard teased with a bizarre infomercial during the Lord of Hatred expansion.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. You can discover new runewords and items from past Diablo games, like the highly coveted Enigma, which turns your evade into a teleport. Find all of Deckard Cain's journals, and you can visit Old Tristram, complete with Diablo 1 NPCs like Griswold, Wirt, and Adria. There, you can even take on an Uber Prime Evil boss encounter straight out of Diablo 2. And for those who love silly secrets, Diablo 3's Whimsyshire is now in the game, teased as part of the cow-level quest. Expect hundreds of colorful killer teddy bears and unicorns.

One of the coolest secrets is the next phase of the Lucky Coin questline, which players have been puzzling over since Diablo 4 launched. In Season 15, you can find the last of these lucky coins. Convert each coin into a special jewelry item, equip them, and head to Lorath's old house. A portal opens to an all-new Echo of the Horadrim boss fight, where you face the tormented souls of Lorath, Neyrelle, and Donan.

But wait—there's more. Nearly all of these secrets lead to even more puzzles. The cow level still has an unsolved mystery: one piece of the Bovine armor set is missing. Players have fished up a teddy bear head that seems to reference a quest from Diablo's Hellfire expansion and may link to Whimsyshire. The Horadrim boss encounter rewards a Horadric Coin, but its purpose remains unknown. There's even a secret sheep level within the cow level that gives an item called Map of the Stars, a nod to a deleted Diablo 1 quest. Its description reads, "Oh for hell's sake, what now!?"—a clear sign there's plenty more to uncover.

Diablo lore expert Loatheburger has a great breakdown of the remaining secrets, including one that might involve salvaging a certain number of Stone of Jordan rings to summon a special Diablo boss fight. After a disappointing Season 14, Hell's Legacy has put Blizzard's ARPG back on track with its crowd-pleasing theme and a huge helping of content from older Diablo games. Players are also getting stronger than ever thanks to a Mythic Unique trick that might not be intentional.

Looking ahead, Diablo 4 won't get new expansions as Blizzard shifts focus to Diablo 5, due in 2029, but it will continue to receive new seasons long into the future.
