Remember when you first stepped into Kokiri Forest as young Link? That magic is returning, but with a fresh coat of paint. Nintendo just dropped an extended look at the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake during its latest Direct, and let's just say the internet has feelings.
Some of you are probably thrilled about the upgraded visuals, but others? Not so much. The new art style has sparked a ton of debate online. Twitter is buzzing with memes about the redesigned characters, especially young Link. Some fans are joking about his new look, while others are straight-up conflicted about the enhancements. It's a mixed bag, for sure.
But hey, there's plenty of positivity too. Many Zelda faithful are just overjoyed to have Link and the gang back in a shiny new version of the classic. For them, it's like reuniting with an old friend who got a glow-up.
One of the coolest new features? You can actually hum one of the iconic Zelda tunes into your Switch 2's mic, and Link will play it on his ocarina. How awesome is that? It's like having a real-life Ocarina of Time in your hands.
The Direct also revealed more details: Link can now jump (finally!), there's voice acting, and there's a gameplay mechanic that seems straight out of Breath of the Wild. It's clear Nintendo is mixing things up while keeping the heart of the original intact.
The remake is set to launch on Switch 2 on November 5, so you don't have too long to wait. And if you're a fan of the music, mark your calendars for a Zelda concert tour in 2027.
So, what's your take? Are you hyped about the remake, or are you sticking with the N64 original? Let us know in the comments!
