Lana Del Rey Joins GTA 6 Radio, Can't Wait to Play

Ever dreamed of flipping on the radio in GTA 6 and hearing Lana Del Rey? Well, that dream is about to become reality. Rockstar Games just announced the in-game radio stations for GTA 6, and the "Video Games" singer herself is not only featured but also seriously hyped to play the game.

Del Rey co-hosts GTA 6's Back Country Radio alongside country star Morgan Wallen, who plays the character MW. She takes on the role of Delta Dawne. And there's a family affair, too: her husband, Jeremy Dufrene, voices the character Mud Dog Mike on the same station.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Del Rey didn't hold back her excitement: "On so many different levels this is super special and a privilege. Can't wait to get into the game and start playing." Given her 2012 song "Video Games," this feels like a full-circle moment for the 11-time Grammy nominee.

But she's not the only real-world music star popping up in Vice City. The GTA 6 radio stations also feature Bad Bunny, plus Kerry King and Tom Araya of Slayer. Music has always been a huge part of the GTA franchise, and GTA 6 is clearly keeping that tradition alive in a big way.

In the new game, you'll be able to listen to music while cruising around in your car, and you can even digest podcasts while walking the streets of Vice City through headphones. It's all about immersing you in the world, and having actual celebrities like Del Rey on the airwaves just makes it feel that much more real.

GTA 6 launches on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, so the wait is almost over. Fans have been incredibly patient—the game has been in development since 2015. But with news like this, the hype train is showing no signs of slowing down.
