WoW Forever Adds New PvP Battleground with Reputation Tracks

Remember when battlegrounds had reputations associated with them? World of Warcraft Forever remembers, and you'd sure hope they do, because the new Battle for the Darkspear Islands battleground offers two reputation tracks for the Darkspear Raiders and Theramore Expeditionary Force.

Players can unlock new armor, weapons, and tabards by leveling up the reputations in this capture-and-hold battleground. So if you're a fan of old-school PvP grinds with tangible rewards, this one's for you.

But that's not all — the game is also showing off upcoming changes to the Skyborne model. While details are scarce, it's clear the team is continuing to iterate on the game's visuals and systems.

For those who miss the days when battlegrounds meant more than just a quick match, the Darkspear Islands battleground brings back that sense of long-term progression. Earning reputation with the Darkspear Raiders or Theramore Expeditionary Force gives you something to work toward beyond just winning the match.

The capture-and-hold format means you'll need to coordinate with your team to control key points, just like the battlegrounds of old. And with two separate reputation tracks, you'll have plenty of reasons to keep queueing up.

Plus, the Skyborne model changes suggest that World of Warcraft Forever is still evolving. While we don't know exactly what's changing, it's a sign that the developers are listening and tweaking things based on feedback.

So what do you think? Are you excited to grind out those reputations and see what the Skyborne changes bring? Let us know in the comments!
