Cozy Dressmaker Game Sews Up Steam Top 10

The game also boasts an Overwhelmingly Positive rating, with 96% of its 2,177 user reviews praising it.

Developed by Cozy Lives and published by Free Lives (the South African studio behind Genital Jousting and Terra Nil), Dressmaker puts you in charge of your very own dress boutique in a fictional town. You design and sew dresses for customers, but it's not just about pretty frocks – you can also "sabotage" your clientele if you want to raise the stakes. That mix of creativity and mischief seems to have struck a chord.

The game's success has sparked a bigger conversation on social media about niche games versus big-budget AAA titles. One viral tweet summed it up: "Take game marketed towards women and creatives / optimise it so it can run on most shitty laptops and PCs that have been sold in the last 10 years / fill it with whimsy and genuine respect for the craft it's emulating / make a billion dollars."
