Ever wanted a controller that looks like it crawled out of a video game world? Nacon's new Revolution Pro X – SE does exactly that. It's a wireless Xbox Series X controller with a design pulled straight from Hell is Us, the publisher's own 2025 third-person action-adventure. And the best part? It's way cheaper than the brand's flagship.
The Revolution Pro X – SE costs $109.99 / £109.99, while the premium Revolution X Unlimited sits at a hefty $199.99 / £199.99. So you're saving a chunk of cash but still getting wireless play, a charging stand, and two back buttons. Nacon is calling this a "Special Edition," so it's unclear if a non-Hell is Us colorway will show up later. For now, the controller is only available on Nacon's own website.
What makes this controller interesting? The Hell is Us patterning covers the whole thing, a nod to the game's world without slapping a giant logo on it. It's a minimalist approach that fans will appreciate. And it arrives after Hell is Us received a major update in recent weeks, so the timing makes sense.
As for the tech, you're getting Hall effect thumbsticks, micro-switch buttons, and adjustable joystick tension. That last feature lets you twist the gates to change how stiff the sticks feel, which is great for switching between genres. Nacon claims it's the first to bring this to wireless Xbox controllers, though 8BitDo technically did it first with the Ultimate 3 Lavender Dusk. Still, it's a welcome addition at this price point.
Yannick Allaert, Director of the Accessories Division at NACON, said: "With the REVOLUTION PRO X – SE, we wanted to offer a full-featured precision controller at a competitive price. Its joystick tension adjustment, Hall Effect sensors, and micro-switch combine technologies designed to allow every player to tailor their controls to their playing style."
One thing to watch out for: this controller replaces the older Nacon Revolution X Pro (note the name flip). So if you're shopping, make sure you're getting the Pro X, not the Pro. The RPX also lacks TMR sticks, which is a shame, but for a mid-range controller, it should hold its own against rivals like the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro TE and Scuf Valor Pro Wired, both at $100. Those offer more buttons, but wireless play and a charging stand could be a real win for Nacon.
