Well, this is a crossover nobody saw coming. Fortnite is teaming up with the upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie, and the Chun-Li skin isn't based on the games at all — it's the actual movie version, played by Canadian-Chinese actress Callina Liang.
The skin goes live on October 10, and Liang herself shared a photo from the reveal event posing with a whole crowd of Chun-Li cosplayers. We're talking every kind of Chun-Li you can imagine, and yes, the internet has already found the highlights.
This isn't your usual video game character skin drop. Instead of pulling from Street Fighter's classic roster designs, Epic is going straight to the film's likeness, which makes this a pretty unusual move for Fortnite collabs.
The movie itself is a big deal. It's being produced by Legendary Pictures and Capcom, and it's the first project under the three-year global distribution deal between Paramount Pictures and Legendary Entertainment. Kitao Sakurai is directing.
As for the cast, it's absolutely stacked. Andrew Koji is Ryu, Noah Centineo is Ken, Callina Liang is Chun-Li, David Dastmalchian plays the villain M. Bison, WWE superstar Roman Reigns is Akuma, Jason Momoa is Blanka, and 50 Cent is Balrog. That's a wild lineup no matter how you slice it.
The story kicks off in 1993, when Ryu and Ken — once brothers in arms on the street fighting circuit — get pulled back into the World Fighting Tournament after a mysterious woman named Chun-Li shows up. The film was shot in IMAX and hits theaters in North America and many other regions on October 16, 2026.
Fortnite is available on PC, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. So once October 10 rolls around, you'll be able to drop in as the big-screen Chun-Li on basically whatever platform you own.
So, are you grabbing the movie Chun-Li skin when it hits the shop, or are you holding out for a classic game version instead? Let us know!
