Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026: Start Time and What to Expect

Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 is almost here! Here is how to watch the big showcase, full start times, and all the confirmed game reveals.

Ready for another massive barrage of game trailers and world premieres? Geoff Keighley's Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 is kicking off in just a few hours, streaming live directly from Germany, and it is shaping up to be an absolute blast. Whether you are counting down the minutes for major blockbuster updates or looking for surprise reveals, you definitely will not want to miss this show.

If you want to catch every single moment live, getting tuned in is super simple. Everything kicks off on August 25 with a 30-minute preshow starting at 10:30 AM PT / 1:30 PM ET, leading directly into the main showcase at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET (or 7 PM BST / 8 PM CET, and 4 AM AET on August 26). The main show is scheduled to run for around two hours. You will be able to stream it across the official YouTube and Twitch channels, GameSpot's YouTube channel, or directly on the official Gamescom website.

So, what can you actually expect to see on screen? Host Geoff Keighley has already confirmed an impressive list of heavy hitters. We are getting a fresh look at Final Fantasy 7 Revelation following its showcase at Summer Game Fest, plus more of Gears of War: E-Day as Microsoft builds hype for its holiday blockbuster. Fans can also look forward to what will likely be our first look at real-time strategy gameplay for Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, as well as The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past legacy expansion.

The confirmed list does not stop there. The broadcast will also feature Metro 2039, the Arthurian legend-inspired Tides of Annihilation, Ananta, and Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons. With tons of upcoming titles aiming to make noise before GTA 6 launches this November, this year's lineup could be extra packed. There is plenty of room for surprise looks at games like Marvel's Wolverine, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, or Control Resonant, along with a healthy dose of ambitious smaller projects.

Best of all, Tuesday night is just the beginning of a huge week for gamers. Following ONL, you can check out the Future Games Show on August 26, the Gamescom Awesome Indies Show on August 27, and the GTA 6 Extended Preview on August 27. Microsoft is also hosting two dedicated Xbox livestreams on August 26 and August 27 packed with developer interviews, gameplay reveals, and new trailers. Which game reveal are you most excited to see at Gamescom ONL 2026?
