So you've got Dragon's Dogma 2 and you're itching to dive into the Dark Arisen expansion. But how exactly do you kick off this new adventure? Don't worry, we've got you covered.
First things first: head to Vernworth, which you'll reach fairly early in the main story. Once you're there, make your way to The Stardrop Inn. But timing is key—you need to visit at nighttime. That's when you'll find Captain Brant waiting with some fresh dialogue options.
When you talk to him, you'll see two new choices. The first, "About the new Arisen…" will start the DLC quest called Chilling Tidings. That's your ticket to the new northern region of Norgan, a wintry, abandoned land full of monsters and mysteries. The second option, "About the uncovered ruins…" kicks off the Lost Rites quest, which sends you into 12 new endgame dungeons.
Now, a word of warning: the recommended level for the DLC content and Norgan is 40. You can attempt it earlier, but the dungeons vary in difficulty, so be prepared. If you've already reached the Unmoored World section of the main story, you won't be able to access the DLC until you start New Game+. But don't fret—if you want to jump into the new content right away, you can use the new save option to go straight there. Just select "Change save slot," then hold X on controller (or Shift on keyboard) to create a new playthrough from your save file. The game will warn you that you won't be able to access your current save anymore, but you'll keep your level, equipment, and items, only resetting quest progress and quest items.
So there you have it. Whether you're starting fresh or diving back in, the Dark Arisen expansion is ready for you. Will you be heading to Norgan soon? Let us know in the comments!
