The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past EP Drops – Listen Now!

Ready to return to the Path? The first taste of new music from The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past expansion is here. Milan Records just dropped a five-track EP, giving fans an early listen to the soundtrack before the DLC arrives next year.

The EP is titled The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past (Original Soundtrack Gamescom 2026 EP). It features compositions from Magda Urbańska, Marcin Przybyłowicz, and Daniel Elms. You can stream it everywhere right now.

Composer Magda Urbańska shared her thoughts on the project: "I’ve worked with classical music for most of my life, but folk requires a completely different sensibility — it has its own tone and form, while also offering enormous creative freedom. But our roots, our Slavic heritage, are something more than that — something that runs deep within us, something that grows out of who we are. I hope we’ve managed to preserve The Witcher DNA in these pieces."

According to publisher Milan Records, the soundtrack "expands upon the rich musical identity that has made The Witcher franchise a global phenomenon. Blending evocative orchestral writing with traditional folk influences, powerful vocal performances, and regional instrumentation inspired by the world’s diverse cultures, the score captures both the intimacy and grandeur of a new chapter in Geralt’s story."

Songs of the Past is a big deal. It was announced earlier this year, though it had been rumored for a while. It’s the first expansion for The Witcher 3 in over a decade, and by the time it ships next year, the base game will be 12 years old. That’s almost unheard of in gaming. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt originally launched in 2015 and was named IGN’s Game of the Year.
