Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert Tour Hits the Road in 2027

Remember the last time you heard the Zelda theme in a packed concert hall? If it's been a while, you're not alone—Nintendo hasn't done an official Zelda music tour in almost a decade. But that's all about to change.

During the recent Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, legendary composer Koji Kondo himself appeared to announce The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert, a worldwide tour set to kick off in 2027. The tour will hit Japan, North America, Europe, and Australia, so chances are it's coming to a city near you.

If you're in Japan, you're in luck—the Land of the Rising Sun gets the most shows. The tour starts in Tokyo on January 23, 2027, then travels to Fukuoka in February, Hokkaido in March, and wraps up in Kyoto and Kanagawa in April. For the rest of us, the international leg kicks off in Chicago on February 22, with stops across the US, Europe, and Australia before a final show in San Francisco in October (exact date TBA).

Here's the full list of confirmed dates so far:

- Chicago, US: February 22–23 - London, UK: April 3–4 - Melbourne, Australia: May 13–16 - Stockholm, Sweden: June 18–19 - Sydney, Australia: July 9–10 - Seattle, US: July 16–18 - Houston, US: July 23 & 25 - Vienna, US: July 30 - Edinburgh, UK: September 17 - Glasgow, UK: September 18 - San Francisco, US: October 2027

Tickets are expected to go on sale later this month, so keep your eyes peeled.

As for what musical treats await, Kondo teased: "From nostalgic tunes to modern melodies, the concerts will feature a variety of music to mark the 40th anniversary." That could mean anything from the classic overworld theme to the latest from Tears of the Kingdom—so there's something for every era of Zelda fan.

Before the tour kicks off, you can get your Zelda fix with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, launching for Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5. But let's be honest: hearing those iconic tunes live is a whole different level of hype.
