Have you been holding off on a second playthrough of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, waiting for New Game Plus? Well, your patience is about to pay off. Ubisoft has finally confirmed that the highly requested mode is arriving next week.
The news came in a surprisingly low-key way: a 16-word tweet from the official Assassin's Creed account. "Thank you everyone for your patience," it read. "New Game+ is coming to Black Flag Resynced next week!" That's it. No trailer, no blog post, just a quick acknowledgment after months of fans asking for updates.
It's been a few months since Black Flag Resynced launched, and while the remake was praised for improving on the original, the lack of post-launch content had completionists restless. New Game Plus was the big ask, and now it's officially on the way. For those who've been waiting to dive back into the Caribbean with all their gear and upgrades intact, the wait is almost over.
However, Ubisoft hasn't specified if the update will include anything else. Given the silence since launch, it's possible the New Game Plus patch is a standalone addition, but we'll have to wait and see. The exact release date is also still up in the air—"next week" is all we have for now, so keep an eye out for a more specific announcement in the coming days.
For those who haven't played yet, Black Flag Resynced is a gorgeous remake that manages to improve on the original 10/10 classic. It's a pirate adventure that still holds up, and New Game Plus will give you a fresh way to experience the campaign with all your hard-earned abilities and equipment.
So, will you be jumping back into the shoes of Edward Kenway next week? Or are you still working through your first playthrough? Let us know in the comments!
