According to Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka, the blue blur has only reached about half of his full potential. Yes, really. The man in charge of Sega's speediest franchise believes there's still plenty of room for the series to grow.

That's a wild thought when you consider everything Sonic has already done. We're talking classic Genesis platformers, Saturday morning cartoons, a live-action movie franchise, and more spin-offs than you can shake a Chaos Emerald at. And yet, Iizuka's take suggests the best may still be ahead.
