Have you ever finished a set of trading cards and immediately wondered what's next? Well, Cyberpunk TCG fans, the wait for the next chapter just got a little clearer. WeirdCo has officially revealed the second set for the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game, and it's called Edgerunners: Burn Bright. It's set to launch in Spring 2027, and it's bringing the world of Netflix's Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime straight into your card collection.
The timing couldn't be better. The reveal coincides with the release of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 on Netflix today, so if you're still reeling from the anime, this is a nice little chaser. The first Cyberpunk TCG set, Welcome to Night City, is currently rolling out to stores and backers after a massively successful Kickstarter campaign. But as any TCG player knows, once one set drops, your eyes immediately start scanning the horizon for the next one. WeirdCo is happy to oblige.
So what do we actually know about Burn Bright? Details are still under wraps—things like how many new cards it will add or what products will be included are still a mystery. The team is planning a host of card reveals and info drops in the coming months. But they did share some sweet artwork exclusively with IGN, giving us a first look at a couple of familiar faces from David's crew.
First up is Maine, the head of the crew that David eventually joins. His card art is titled "Badass Shades" and features his signature red eyewear. We don't have specifics on what the card does yet, but just going by the name, it's a safe bet this will be a Gear card—the type you equip to a Unit or Legend to give them a boost. Then there's "Falco Hang on Tight!", featuring the getaway driver's unmistakable mustache. Again, no details on what the card is or does, but if I had to put my eddies down, I'd say Legend. The new, more anime-inspired artwork looks striking, and it'll be interesting to see how the final set balances representation between the original Edgerunners and Edgerunners 2.
One more tidbit from WeirdCo: Burn Bright will feature an "all-new chase rarity" that will be revealed at a later date. That's sure to appeal to collectors who love the thrill of the hunt. Meanwhile, the full retail launch of the first set, Welcome to Night City, is set for November 6, 2026, with prerelease events scheduled for the weekend before. So you've got plenty of time to get your hands on the first set before Burn Bright arrives.
What do you think of the new artwork? Are you hoping to see more of the Edgerunners crew in card form? Let us know in the comments!
