Scopely Explore has confirmed that "Pokémon GO Tour 2027: Alola" will hold its first flagship live event of the year from February 19 to 21, returning to Kaohsiung while also running in Los Angeles at the same time. If you can't make it in person, don't worry — a global online event follows on February 27-28.

For Kaohsiung, this is a big deal. The city first hosted a Pokémon GO Tour live event back in 2022, and now it becomes a Pokémon GO Tour host city for the second time. Based on how past events have been set up, the main venue is likely to be around the Pier-2 Art Center area — though that's an estimate, not an official confirmation.

So what's the theme? This is the 7th Pokémon GO Tour, and the stage is Generation 7 — the Alola region from Pokémon Sun & Moon and Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. That means Alola-themed Pokémon are the stars of the show.

Here's where it gets interesting for veteran players. The box Legendaries Solgaleo and Lunala, plus Necrozma's Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings fused forms, have already appeared in previous events.
