Ready to race on PS5? Forza Horizon 6 finally has a release date, and it's coming sooner than you might think.
The game will launch on PS5 on January 26, according to a new trailer. That's the same day as the game's first major expansion, though details on what that expansion includes are still under wraps. So you'll be able to jump into the base game and the new content right away.
Pre-orders are open now, and there are some nice bonuses. If you grab the Premium Edition, you'll get five days of early access, just like the Xbox and PC versions. And no matter which version you pre-order on PS5, you'll snag a pre-tuned Ferrari J50. That's a pretty sweet ride to start your collection.
The release date news comes after rumors that the game might miss its initial 2026 window for PS5. Those rumors turned out to be true, but the delay means it'll launch just in time to avoid GTA 6's blast radius. Smart move, right? That should help it find a healthy audience on Sony's console.
Forza Horizon 5 was a massive hit on PS5 when it arrived last year, so demand for the sequel is high. And critics are already loving it: IGN gave Forza Horizon 6 a 10/10, praising its dense map, technical achievements, and well-paced campaign. In their review, they called it "unequivocally the best" and "a goddamn masterpiece." That's high praise.
So mark your calendars for January 26. Whether you're a longtime Forza fan or new to the series, this one looks like a must-play. Will you be picking it up on PS5? Let us know in the comments!
