Gamescom ONL 2026: Biggest Trailers and Announcements

Gamescom Opening Night Live just wrapped up, and wow, what a show! Meanwhile, Genigods: Nezha is an action-RPG rooted in ancient Chinese mythology, where you play as the Spirit Pearl, created by the Goddess Nüwa, taking on colossal monsters. And if horror's your thing, Perceptum is coming in 2027 to give you all the bumps in the night you could want.

One of the coolest surprises? Mariachi Legends—a Mexican vampire metroidvania that's hitting all the right notes. It's coming in April 2027, and honestly, it's the kind of genre mashup I didn't know I needed. Also, Elta: Defy All Gods is shaping up to be a brawler with an adorable dragon-god companion and fluid platforming. Keep an eye on that one.

For the strategy lovers, Humankind 2 is on the way, aiming to improve the 4X formula while forcing you to deal with climate change consequences. And Rainbow Six Tactics is the first new Rainbow Six game in years—think XCOM meets Siege, with 15 unique Operators and missions across the globe. It's out in 2027.
