NBA 2K27 Season 3 Looks Like a GTA 6 Crossover

Ever wondered what would happen if the hardcourt met the streets of Vice City? Well, 2K Sports just dropped a new trailer for NBA 2K27 that's got the gaming world buzzing, and it's all because of a cheeky nod to GTA 6.

The Season 1 trailer for NBA 2K27 isn't just about what's coming in the first season—it's also giving us a sneak peek at Seasons 2 and 3. And if you look closely, Season 3's vibe is screaming GTA 6. We're talking palm trees, a font that's straight out of the GTA style guide, and colors that would make any Los Santos local feel right at home. Oh, and did we mention the police sirens? Classic GTA.

Now, the trailer doesn't say exactly when Season 3 kicks off, but we can do some math. Season 2 starts on October 16, and if seasons run as long as they usually do, we're looking at Season 3 starting around the end of November. And guess what? GTA 6 is set to release on November 19. Coincidence? We think not.

This isn't the first time GTA 6 and basketball have crossed paths. Remember that gameplay leak where the main character, Jason, was dribbling a basketball and shooting hoops at his place? That had everyone speculating that basketball might be a minigame in GTA 6. It's looking like a safe bet, and now a GTA 6 crossover with NBA 2K27 seems almost inevitable.

Take-Two, the big boss that owns both Rockstar and 2K, probably sees this as a win-win. Why not have both franchises boost each other? It's the classic rising tide lifting all ships scenario.
