Ever been tasked with pinging a massive, aggressive ARC unit while it's hunting you? That's exactly what Arc Raiders' Tracks of the Beast mission asks you to do. It's a tense one, but we've got your back.
First, you'll need to complete the Exploring Pendoloa Pass quest to unlock this mission. Once you have it, your objectives are: head to the Northern Tracks on Pendola Pass, find the destroyed station at the end of the tracks, ping a Bully, ping a Skulker, and optionally destroy 3 Skulkers and deliver a Skulker Targeter. You can do it all in one round for bonus rewards, but if you're short on time, you can skip the optional tasks and still get the normal rewards.
Finding the Northern Tracks isn't too hard. It's not a marked area on the map, but it's basically the northern region where you see train tracks. If you spawn there, great—you're already close. Once you're in the area, your quest updates to find the destroyed station at the end of the tracks. Don't worry, it doesn't mean the literal end (that's out of bounds). Just head to Almatera Station in the northwestern part of Pendola Pass, and the task will complete.
Now, the Bully. You can find these anywhere on the map, but they often lurk near the station. Bullies are huge—almost Leaper-sized but faster and more aggressive, like a Bastion on steroids. You'll hear them stomping around before you see them. Creep up and ping it; you don't need to damage it. Then, it's Skulker time. These smaller ground enemies move like a Pop with legs but are more aggressive once they start firing. They blend into the snow and can be elusive. If you're late in the match, you might even find scrap remains of a Skulker—pinging that still counts!
For the optional tasks, you'll need to destroy 3 Skulkers and deliver a Skulker Targeter. Skulkers are more out in the open than you'd think, so search around the train station first, then expand. To take them down easily, wait for their turret to pop out of the center and shoot that weak spot. Loot them to grab a Skulker Targeter for the delivery task.
That's it! With a bit of patience and maybe a little luck, you'll complete Tracks of the Beast in no time. Will you be tackling this mission solo or with a squad? Let us know in the comments!
