Did you catch the second Triple-I Initiative showcase of 2026? If not, you missed a packed hour of trailers, release dates, and surprise announcements. But don't worry—we've rounded up everything you need to know.
The show kicked off with Aftergods, a top-down survival ARPG set after Ragnarok wiped out the gods. You'll build a new pantheon and fight back the monsters that rose in their absence. It's coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, and yes, it has some serious animated pedigree behind it.
Release dates came thick and fast. Waltz and Jam, a hand-drawn action-adventure from Korean developer Flyway Games, launches December 3 for PC, Switch 2, and PS5. Among Us Story: On Guard, a standalone narrative detective game, hits February 17, 2027 for PC, Switch consoles, and mobile. And Brotato's Primal Dread DLC drops November 2 on PC with bigger enemies, new brotatoes, and weaponized panflutes.
Free updates also got love. Astral Ascent's Expedition 33 For Those Who Come After update is out now on PC and console, adding new summons, bosses, and a huggable Esquie. Chained Together gets its first new map on November 12, plus a new gameplay mode. Escape the Backrooms is getting an After Party update in December with new levels, and new skins arrive later this month.
Crossover fans, rejoice: Dave the Diver is teaming up with Subnautica 2 in early 2027, blending Dave's casual adventures with alien oceans. Meanwhile, Canyons—a co-op PvE shooter from the creators of Breathedge—lands in November 2027 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. False Echo, a mix of Papers, Please and Das Boot, hits PC in Spring 2027.
Other highlights include Gods with Badges, a turn-based tactics game from Strange Scaffold, and Haunted Paws, a spooky co-op game where you play as two adorable dogs searching for your missing owner. Hela: Of Mice & Magic launches December 1, and Drunken Goddess Reflux brings shot-glass Russian roulette against a demon. Dandelion Void tasks you with surviving a derelict spaceship, and it's heading to Steam Early Access next year.
Many of these games have demos live on Steam right now, so you can try before you buy. With so many releases and updates on the horizon, your backlog is about to get a lot bigger. Which game are you most excited for? Let us know in the comments!
